Foreign Language Enhancement Program

The CIC Foreign Language Enhancement Program (FLEP) provides scholarships to help graduate students take advantage of summer language offerings not available at their home university, but available at another CIC member university.

The College of Liberal Arts (CLA) makes available 5 FLEP scholarships each summer for graduate students whose academic home is in CLA for summer intensive language study of a less-commonly-taught language (LCTL) at partnering CIC institutions.

To find what less-commonly-taught languages are taught at partnering CIC institutions, visit the CARLA Less Commonly Taught Languages Project website.

To find out what CIC institutions participate in the FLEP program, e-mail the FLEP coordinator.
